final coat rubbed out using a linseed oil and bee's wax mixture to leave a satin finish that adds depth
and luster to the wood’s grain and produces a silky smooth finish.
The top and bottom are joined to the front and sides with mortise and tenon construction as are the
stiles, rails, and mullion joined to produce the clock’s door. An easily removable solid wood back has
a beautifully figured grain and is reinforced with three battens to prevent warpage.
Arts & Crafts appointments include archival printed dial with an authentic Arts & Crafts font, black
hands A&C , slated pendulum window, cherry accent wood, hand carved walnut Greene & Greene
pyramidal mortise pegs, and a period authentic base and top design.
